Why choose Foghorn?
Foghorn is a small company so we only take on one new project at a time. This means that we can totally devote our time to you and you won't get lost in a large, impersonal company. Having said this, we are small and mighty, and we bring all our expertise to every project.
Do I need a domain and host?
We can organise these for you, but if you've already purchased them, that's okay too. We always try to be as helpful, flexible and accommodating as we can be to our clients.
What size companies do you produce websites for?
We work with businesses of all sizes, and individuals as well. However, as we are a small business, we really love championing other petite and fledgling ventures. We feel that's where we are best placed to develop fantastic websites within a tight budget when you're starting off.
How long does it take to build a website?
We can complete a simple website in as little as a week. Of course, you may not need something quite that quickly! Rest assured, we'll always work at your pace to ensure you don't feel rushed and we always make sure we finish by the deadline.
Will my website work on phones and tablets?
More of your prospective customers are now surfing the web on their phones and tablets than ever before. Bearing this in mind, we create every website to work perfectly with whichever device they use. We focus on great design but also make sure that nothing slows the site down.
Why do you use WordPress?
It's world renowned with virtually unlimited options and it's a free platform to build websites on. We design and develop it for you, but once your site is completed, you don’t pay any ongoing costs to us for using it. If you have already chosen a different company, we are happy to develop your website for you as well. We will just need your log in details!
Can you help me rank No.1 in Google?
Wouldn't it be great if everyone could be on top of the page when their customers search for them? This is difficult to achieve and it can take time to get to that lofty position. Thankfully we have all the tools and know-how to boost your chances and we'll guide you in the future to maximise your success.

What happens to the copyright of my website if I move to another agency?
Your site is yours. You can move if you like with no penalties (but we secretly hope you won't!). If at any point you're thinking of moving on, please have a chat with us first to see if there's anything else we can do to help you.
Do you offer ongoing help with our new site once it's launched?
When you need our help with web support, we're just a click away. If you have the time to devote to regular changes and maintenance, we can supply you with a personalised Step-by-Step DIY Guide to help you out. If you change your mind and you do need us after all, we’ll still be here for you.
Do you redesign existing websites?
We certainly do! We can tweak and update your existing website if you feel it needs a bit of a refresh. Just ask for a quote and we 'll give you a realistic one-off price, or a regular maintenance package if you prefer.
How much will my website cost?
So let's talk numbers. If you are looking for a simple website with wording, images and of course, your logo and contact details, it could be as little as £199. We have other options for something a bit bigger where we can offer a bespoke service for a website that's more involved. Whatever you need, we'd love to work with you, so why not ask for a quote?
Are there any other costs for my website?
If you host through us, there are hosting charges that every website has to pay. Other than that, there are unlikely to be any additional charges unless you need our photographer to lend a hand on location. If you think this might be something you'll need, just let us know and we can give you a quote. Rest assured if there are any other charges, you'll be the first to know, so the total budget for your project will be totally transparent.
And finally, why are you called Foghorn?
Great question. Our founder was named after the 1960's singer, Helen Shapiro, whose nickname was 'Foghorn'. This was due to her powerful vocals and the deep timbre to her voice. Our Helen chose the name as she believes that a great website should shout as loudly as a foghorn to all those lovely prospective customers.
